Getting Real on Reel - Being the 84!

A Youth-Produced Film-shorts Contest

This year, Mass Youth Against Tobacco hosted its second annual Getting Real on Reel film-shorts contest! This contest asked high school age youth across the state of Massachusetts to create and submit 30 second film-shorts demonstrating what makes them a part of "The 84" statewide youth movement!

Highlights:

Over 450 youth from across the state participated!
Over125 film-short entries were entered.
Since MYAT's first annual film-shorts contest in 2007, the number of youth participants tripled and the number of entries doubled!

The winning film-short creators were celebrated at a Film-shorts Festival on May 10th at the WCVB-TV Channel 5 Studios in Needham, MA. The Grand Prize Winning Film-short was created by Sociedad Latina in Roxbury, MA. Check out the winning film-shorts by clicking here.
