Tackle Tobacco (T3):
Because
We Care
Saturday,
April 8, 2006
9:00am-3:30pm
Crowne Plaza, Worcester
"I
learned I have much more persuasive power than I thought; that
I can make a difference."
"I
learned that 53,000 people die from secondhand smoke yearly."
"It
was an absolutely great experience!"
"It
was really informative. I learned a lot and I want to
do more to help people quit. It is a very dangerous habit,
and if we catch it soon, the better the person is. I wish
I could do more."
The Summit was a great success! All together about 180 youth
and 20 adults came together in Worcester from all over Massachusetts.
Everyone got a chance to share ideas, gain more knowledge and
information about tobacco advocacy work, and have fun!
There
were workshops on topics such as basics on tobacco, smoking
policies in schools and communities, and youth leadership.
These
are the groups who helped to bring you this summit with time,
money, and resources!
