Quitting smoking is worth it. You're worth it.
Success Stories

20 Years and NOW I'm Clean
Tell us your story:
I have attempted to quit several times in life. I started smoking at 15 and bought a quit smoking tool when I was 16. It only took 19 years more, to get it right. I tried to quit at least 5 time over those 20 years and even when I wasn't actively trying to quit...I was thinking about it. Not once did I ever recommend smoking to someone. And, why would anyone? They wouldn't. What got it right this time??? It truly is all in YOUR mind. You cannot nor will you stop because someone else wants you to. Not a potential lover or spouse, not a child, not a friend, pastor, no one. You will quit when YOU want to. So, get ready, prepare...YOU can do this. This time (like two others in the past) I used the patches. Although I smoked more than a pack and a half a day and was to be on the patch for 8 weeks...I quit using them after 2 weeks. The difference is...I WANTED TO QUIT!!
How long have you been a non-smoker?
27 days
What are your three favorite Quit Tips?
- Never Give Up Trying To Quit
- When You R Ready, This is EASY (believe me)
What prompted you to quit?
I was sick and tired of waking up with pain in my chest (when taking a deep breathe) and watching other smokers...you know, they do look silly.
How do you feel now?
Fantastic!!! It is amazing, its been 27 days and I have been lifting weights and running/walking for 2 weeks now. I look great and feel fantastic!!!
What words of wisdom/support would you like to pass on to others who are in the process of quitting or who are thinking about it?
Definately, get yourself in the right mindset. Whether it takes you 2 days or 30 days to "get ready", your mind will tell you when you are ready to put forth the effort. Congratulate yourself after your first denial, and your second...then for your first day of non-smoking. Days will pile up before you know it.
